Cognitive & longevity research
The neuropeptide and longevity research area - nootropic and geroprotective peptides and related compounds studied in cognition, neuroprotection and cellular ageing.
This research area spans two overlapping themes: neuropeptides studied for cognitive and neuroprotective effects (Semax, Selank, Cerebrolysin) and geroprotective peptides studied in the biology of ageing (Epitalon, SS-31, 5-Amino-1MQ). The compounds are investigated for mechanisms ranging from BDNF modulation to mitochondrial function and telomerase activity in preclinical models.
This hub groups the research compounds New-U supplies in this area alongside the on-site guides that summarise the published science.
7 of the 14 compounds in this area have a current published Certificate of Analysis from an independent laboratory, linked on its card below and listed at /coa.

Frequently asked questions
What is a nootropic peptide in a research context?
Nootropic peptides are studied for effects on cognition, memory and neuroprotection in preclinical models - for example Semax and Selank, which are investigated for BDNF and neurotransmitter modulation. New-U supplies these compounds for laboratory research use only.
What does "geroprotective" mean in this area?
Geroprotective research studies compounds for their effect on markers of cellular ageing - for example Epitalon (studied in telomerase research) and SS-31 (studied for mitochondrial function). These are laboratory research topics, not anti-ageing treatments.
How is purity verified?
Released batches are analysed by independent laboratories (Janoshik Analytical and Freedom Diagnostics) by RP-HPLC for purity and mass spectrometry for identity. Every released sale batch must pass independent verification before it is offered for sale. Published Certificates of Analysis are listed per compound at /coa. In this area, 7 of the 14 compounds have a current published certificate.
